About

Welcome to my blog With the Faculty of Wonder. Here, I want to you to open your mind to the thoughts you've been repressing, to the art you've never seen, the music you've never heard and the feelings you've yet to feel.

I got the line "the faculty of wonder" from the book Sophie's World, a novel on the history of philosophy, in which the teacher sends his pupils sets of lessons in this vast subject. In one of these lessons, he says "all we need to be good philosophers is the faculty of wonder". That's true. However, I believe I should apply this faculty of wonder to my entire life.

And so should you. Why? Because you can.

A Bit About Me:

I'm 16 and I blog because I have things to say. I enjoy puerh tea, and performing both in plays and as a singer, but mainly as a singer. I mainly sing blues/jazz/rock and I'm in the process of learning to play guitar. From this, music is a huge part of my life, and is eclectic in taste to say the least. Check the 'Musical Suggestions' tab at the top of the page for a taste of what I like. I enjoy lengthy philosophical discussions, fine food, art (especially stuff from the 'art noveau' period), having awesome short hair & being a tea connoisseur. Drop me a line about anything, I love hearing from people across the interwebs. :)
